Flanders red ale, a style of sour beer originally from Belgium, are one of our favourite styles to brew. A malt base of pale, rye, wheat and chocolate malt gives a strong foundation for ageing and further blending down the road.
Our fifth official blend contains three different barrels with the oldest dating from November 2018 & the newest brewed April 2021. The older barrel brings more wood character to the blend, while the newer barrels add a cleaner, crisp acidity. Definite oak characteristics with balsamic, plum & cherry undertones.
